Choral Department
The Southwestern College Choral Department is a vibrant hub of musical exploration and expression, welcoming students of all backgrounds and skill levels. It offers a diverse array of courses, including introductory classes in vocal techniques, music theory, and choral literature. Students can also join various ensembles, such as the Chamber Singers, Jazz Vocal Ensemble, Gospel Choir, and Concert Choir, where they perform a wide range of repertoires from classical to contemporary pieces. Choir/Choral Ensembles: Students can join different choral groups, which offer the opportunity to perform a wide repertoire ranging from classical to contemporary music. Current available choral ensembles are Chamber Singers, Jazz Vocal Ensemble, Gospel Choir (NC only), and Concert Choir.
